About
Hiya,
For 5 years while working in the entertainment industry, I was engrossed with generative AI’s increasing involvement in the creative process. This integration of AI redefines our conceptions of the nature of originality, creative agency, and plagiarism. While AI’s integration into the creative process is an exciting endeavour, it raises many ethical questions — including the preservation of creative agency. This inspired my to return to academia in pursuit of a MSc in Philosophy of Mind at the University of Edinburgh. I aim to understand and outline the boundaries of human versus machine cognition and how this entails the shape the future of creativity and AI. So, I want to help shape the ethical boundaries of generative AI within its artistic applications, ensuring that we can create ethically and preserve artistic integrity without halting innovation.
In my spare time you’ll find me: taking pictures, reading (novels, philosophy, or poetry), or writing. Some of my favourite authors include: Dostoevsky, Franz Kafka, Haruki Murakami, Emily Dickinson, and William Blake.
